Question. Haven't been able to find anything in the search. I went to the local 4 wheeler shop to ask about having the .25 spacer installed to combat the taco lean. The guy told me what I really want is this 2.5" leveling kit.

So what is the difference? Is the leveling kit for left to right it front to back lean?

Lean spacer is from right to left (passenger to driver) and the leveling kit is from front to back (to remove any rake). If you get a leveling kit you should also get a lean spacer.

I am going to chime in on this.
I have an appointment with my local dealership on Monday and they claim there is some Toyota fix for it.
As I am fighting the left-right lean as well...
Is there a TSB or in-house solution other than getting the spacer installed?
    Thanks!

Had the spacer added. With full tank reduces the lean from 5/8" to about 1/8-3/16”

    Hi guys!
Well, the dealer is having this issue elevated to Toyota.
The lean is now at 1.25in on the left aft side.
We measured other Tacomas on the lot and with the tank full (dealer standard) there was either no lean or minimal lean (.5in).

I took the truch back and we are waiting on Toyota to respond.
Problems keep coming however. Now the truck studders and shakes badly between 1500-2000 rpm. Plugs were replaced, fuel/water test was negative.
Seems I have a bit more work to get done...

    Crazy.

I am sorry. What were you seeing?
This does not mean they will fix it. I am fully aware of the likeliness that I will be told that this is what it is. I can buy a leveling kit and have it installed by Toyota and what not...
Let's see what happens and what they come around with...

    Oh, I see.
Perhaps this explains my concern with the whole situation.
Now, to drive the conversation forward:
I do not want to lift the truck, but what leveling kit can you guys recommend. I will not be putting on different tires. I would be ok with a minimal lift as my priority is the leveling.

    Any advice?

I'm not sure what you mean by not wanting to lift the truck but wanting to level it. You have to level it by lifting the front end. A "leveling kit" is typically a spacer that goes on top of the coilover, which I personally would not put on my truck. This will lift the front end and will make the truck sit level.

You can see the suspension forum for this. These topics have been discussed at length.
