110w/400w converter mod problem HELP

    Ok I did the converter mod today BUT it appears to only work on the 100w side. Meaning the 100w light ONLY comes on. Below is what I did and if I screwed it up somewhere help would certainly be appreciated. This was done on a manuel 6 speed.
    #1 cut violet wire/ white stripe and capped both ends
    #2 cut blue wire blck stripe and ran power to the CONNECTOR side from fuse block. Capped other side.
    #3 tapped into the red wire white stripe and ran that to the large spade side of outlet.
    #4 tapped into the light green wire and ran that to the small spade side of outlet.
    #5 tapped into the white wire black stripe and ran that to my ground side of outlet.
