    Possible, probably.

But you'd need to do a good analysis of circuit protection and wiring capacity to determine if they needed upgrading to support what you wanted to do.

Remove factory switch and inverter, sell on here or put in box. Buy more powerful inverter, run new power and ground wires and new wires to rear outlet. Then install aftermarket switch, tie it into the switch wires on the new inverter, or use power relay to send power to new inverter. New inverter probably wont fit in OEM location, but behind rear seats or under front seats will work too.

I sold a TV over Craigslist with mine. The buyer asked "how do I know that this will turn on and work?" I said, "lemme show you." :bananadance:

At the beach charging the phone (works faster than the cab cigarette lighter or USB). Run a utility light.

I use it for an air mattress while camping and for inflatable boat/kayak/paddle board.

Will the outlet run a 1/3 HP pancake compressor at 3,2 average amps?

Barely, but yes. What's the startup amp rating? 3.2 amps is 380 watts.

I use mine to run my fridge in the camper while traveling.

It's nifty to not have to carry around a cooler

My old man just picked up a trd sport and it comes with the outlet. I was wondering what things you can or can't run lol.

You can run anything you want as long as it's less than 400 Watts

The Power Formula is your friend here: Volts x Amps = Watts So if say a jig saw runs on normal household current (115 Volts) and it's rated for 2.5 Amps (which should/will be listed on a sticker on the tool or appliance) using the above formula gives us 287.5 Watts (not counting loss from cord length and/or extension cord length).

In reality, it's good for battery chargers, work lights and small hand-held tools. In 11 months of owning my Taco I have yet to use mine, though I do see a time when it will come-in handy. I would likely get more use out of it if there was also an outlet inside the cab of the truck.

We used it for the drill for the lag bolts/screws to build a platform to sit on the tonneau cover at Sebring last week.
Air mattress fillup. It wouldn't power a Mr. Coffee (we looked up the draw after trying - too high).

I've used an air compressor a couple of times (low powered unit obviously), but the best use has been a blender for tailgating. You have to shop around for one under 400w, but it's worth it for the laughs.

The real issue in my opinion is the truck running, so you're back there sucking exhaust, whatever you do.

Did the AC outlet in cab and 400W anytime mod. Technically not an outlet, just wired up short piece of extension cord under passenger seat, since I realized an outlet on back of center console would be blocked with rear seat folded during trips.

Enough power to run the 120V plug-in ~200W electric heating pads my wife uses for cramps or a sore back. Pure resistive load doesn't care about the modified sine inverter power either. (saved a lot not getting heated seat trim)

Not sure what to run on the bed outlet, but it's surprising they skipped an outlet in the cab.
