XD 820 grenades, 285/55r20 Toyo Open Country, leveled, dB customs grille, lightbar, predator steps, OEM tonneau

My truck is a 2017 Double Cab TRD Offroad 4x2 Shortbed
I bought the truck used in 2019 and it already had several mods done when I got it. I had found a similar mileage truck that was a TRD sport 4x2 but bone stock, I decided on this truck becuase it had several options that I knew I wanted and the truck was actually a company truck and had meticulous maintenance records and every service was done at the dealer.

    Current Mods:

    Mystery Leveling kit
    285/55/r20 Toyo Open Country AT2's
XD Grenade 820 Wheels (satin black milled)
DB Customz Drop in Tacoma Grille
20" Mictuning LED lightbar (in grille)
    OEM Toyota Predator Step Bars
OEM Toyota tri-fold tonneau bed cover
    Weathertech Floorliner
    Complete Debadge
    Elitetech Premium LED Interior Lighting
    Vehicle OCD center organizer
    Vehicle OCD center tray
    3/4” shackle bow hitch
    Subaru Tweeter Upgrade (kicker)

    Wanted/planned Mods:

    AJT design key fob case
    Power Tailgate Lock
    Caliraised OEM style light switches
    Caliraised OEM Style switch panel
    OEM Toyota Bedmat
    diff breather mod

New Tires (TBD ko2's, Falken Wildpeaks, toyo at2's again?)
    Lightbar replacement

    Philosophy of use:
I have had several trucks over the years, my first truck was a mazda b2300 (ranger) 4 cyl, manual transmission. I also had a 2nd gen 2006 Tacoma 4 cyl. manual. I had a 2008 FJ Cruiser 4x4 Auto.

Honestly when I had the FJ I never needed the 4x4, a few times I would turn it on 4x4 for fun to tear up some mud in a field parking lot but I never really needed or used 4x4. I live in coastal Texas my biggest obstacle is fording water when it floods. The other feature I really use is a rear locker, when I had my Mazda truck I got stuck many times on the beach or in mud and a rear locker would have probably saved me. So for me a 4x4 is a nice to have but I would rather have nicer features that I would use for the money than 4x4.

I mainly need the bed of my truck for hauling musical equipment and tools.

The first tacoma I bought the 2006 was a great reliable truck but I wish I had bought the v6 auto. I thought getting a manual and a 4cyl I would save on gas but I didn't, I guess I'm not the best driver and I felt like the truck was a little under powered.

The FJ was great too but ultimately it was too cramped and we always had to do this annoying dance to try to get kids into the back seat with the suicide doors.

Very nice build. Love the location of the light bar in the grill. I bet you get a lot of reach with that thing.

    Cheers,
