For some reason since I can remember, maybe 6 months I haven't been able to use bluetooth consistently in my truck because it will randomly cut out and in. Sometimes there is no issue and all of a sudden it seems like there is some sort of interference. I have the stock touch screen system, not the entune or JBL.

Anyone have a fix? I have tried my phone on my BT speaker and home stereo receiver with no issue.

I haven’t found a fix yet, but my ‘12 is doing it as well...

I am having the same problem in mine,I have a pioneer x5800bhs,I'm using an iPod touch just for music and Bluetooth on my Samsung phone for audio streaming,I started getting static noise in the speakers up front,Sometimes on the left side then sometimes on the right,I tried restating the phone,I paired the Bluetooth for the second time,I tried to see if there was any updates for the Bluetooth,It does not happen all the time,I think it's just interference from some other source but I'm starting to think since I'm using the original iPod cable lightning plug to USB,I heard that sometimes can be a problem too,I'm going to try a 2.0 USB cable from audio quest,One for my phone and iPod touch. The funny thing is since i put my iPod touch in airplane mode i have not heard any static since.I'll let you know how the new cables do.

My '15 does it as well. Resetting the Bluetooth connection usually fixes it.

Was this resolved. My 2013 tacoma non entune Bluetooth oem stereo does it also. Going to work early morning it doesn't skip at all but I noticed driving home in traffic that's were it starts skipping badly. My phone currently is a Samsung s8 active. I noticed when I was parked if I'm holding my phone or it's away from the head unit it stops skipping. My old s6 didn't do this. I hope this helps lol

I don't think so. My 2017 does it once in a while and resetting the bluetooth connections doesn't help. I have to pull over, shut the car off and start it again. It's always resolved the problem but it can be really annoying when you're at a gas station and jump on the highway before everything gets synced back up.

I have a 2013 as well and just started noticing this issue. I’ve owned my truck since May of 2013 and haven’t had a problem until about 6months ago.

I have noticed that if I move my iPhone 8+ to the left or right side of the cab while on a call it completely clears up, which leads me to believe that it might have something to do with my iPod (which is actually an old iPhone 6 with only music on it) in my center console.

Can anyone else confirm that moving away from center (of the cab) helps clear it up for them as well?

Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
I’m currently using a work around to the very same issue. I’m now running an AudioCast WiFi unit in the truck and running the audio through the stereo input/aux port. Audio is super clear and no skipping issues at all.

Same issue. iPhone 6s, 2013 non-Entune touchscreen. Let me just tell you, multiple incidents where the person I’m calling, their voice gets low and really really slow, like going from 78rpm to 33, almost demonic sounding, for 4 or 5 seconds, then right back to normal. Tried everything in this thread to no avail.
