I tried to order some 15" wheels from an online store and the guy called me today and told me that they are not allowed to sell smaller diameter wheels for a tacoma than factory(16")....he said they have been getting a lot of people sending them back because they do not fit on most 2000-03 models...have you guys had this same problem? I have a 2001 Prerunner ext cab......i measured inside the wheel and have a 1" gap between caliper and wheel, so they should fit right?

should...some 15" wheels will rub the caliper apparently and you'll need spacers...

    some 15" wheels fit fine

which ones are you looking at?

i dont know if the classic IIs are some of the ones that rub or not...

check out Wheeler's Offroad...they sell 15 and 16" wheels in a similar design in both black and chrome...for probably a lot cheaper...and they fit with no spacers

well, i kind of have my mind set on the mickey's so i may go with 16's to be on safe side.....but im thinkin the 15's might fit because i have a 1" space between caliper and wheel(1/2" on each radius, right?)........

clemson, cool, just makin sure you weren't a LSU fan
