Hello Fellas/Ladies, getting close to having my budget saved up.
Figured some of you may have fun putting together a lift for me for around $1500.

    Here is my info

    - 17' DCSB TRD OR, currently stock no bumpers, winches, ect.
    - 99% use is on road, 1% is dirt roads/pasture. This is my daily driver.
    - I want smoothest on road ride possible
    - I want 2-3in lift front/back with close to factory rake.
    - I Haul trailer with remodeling supplies 2-3 times per year, otherwise no weight in the back.
    - Include ECGS Bushing in price
    - Will install myself, no shop fees included in the $1500 budget

Ill get new 265/75/16 Falken Wilkpeak Tires after the install. Not wanting to do anything larger yet due to gas mileage.

Links to specifics are much appreciated!

Edit - I am currently in contact with Marie at HeadStrong. Just looking to get your opinions before I alter my $36K daily ride.

    Thanks for the reply.

Do you feel the 3 leaf AAL rides just as smooth as going with a full leaf replacement light duty for the price difference anyways?

I have glanced at this kid and Feel it would be better then going with say, 6112's, because the 6112's I would have to put on max setting to get 2".

I've never ridden in a truck with a full leaf pack nor a 3 leaf AAL. Only my own truck with a single AAL. From what I have read though, the 3 leaf AAL gains it's height from the actual thickness of the 3 leafs, and when paired with the stock leafs will ride the same as stock leafs alone. For having a brand new truck, I'm sure your leafs are fine and you can always replace them if they get tired out in the coming years .

Sounds reasonable to me. I have heard good things on the adding the 3 AAL.

As for the Fox level 1, setting them at the 2" mark, does it "max" it out and decrease ride quality or does it ride just as well set on the higher setting?

To be totally honest, I have no idea. I would think the higher you go, the more the ride quality decreases. If you want another solid option, check out OME. It's an extremely popular option. I would do new UCAs but hold off on the new leaf pack for now so you stay within budget.

Well, FOX IFP 2.0 cranked up 1", gave me a full 3" lift up front.

Mine are a firm ride, but I tow with a lot of camping gear. Towed my Jeep from CA to Moab at 80mph with no problems. Love it.

Here is a better shot of where mine was and you can see they have been cranked up about an inch.

    thank you!

This would be nice with the 887's I assume. No preloading coils, just a solid performer. From what Ive gathered this is a better approach for on road ride vs using 5100's.
But not quite as nice as full coilovers.

Issue I seem to find with the lower priced Coilover (fox level 1 or 6112's) is having the put them on max setting to get a 2" lift. For some reason this just sounds like a poor choice, but perhaps I am totally wrong on thinking like this. I feel @Mully 's approach of going with the 2.0 and only having to slightly adjust is a better choice, but again, price jumps up over budget.

Funny how when i started, i just wanted a 400$ spacer lift. Then said oh, just spend more and do 5100's with OME coils. Now I am saying screw that, why skimp, just save more and do a better product.

ill end up spending $2500 before this is over just for a daily driver haha.

wow... not sure which I would hop in first if you gave me the keys to both. Those late 80's early 90's cherokees are no joke. I have a 89 for a while and loved it.

I think, me having a 3rd gen, I will get about .5-1" less lift then you do with the same set up if i am reading things correctly on the HS site.

I believe what mully is running is the Fox that I linked earlier, so within the budget. As far as OME vs 5100s ride performance, I can't comment. I am running 5100s and OME 884s, and it rides just fine for me. A hair firmer than stock, but by no means is it uncomfortable. Now my load E tires are a different story.....

I think I may be over analyzing a bit, fretting over a hair difference when in all reality I will hardly notice a difference. its not like i am off roading.

Better to be sure of your decision and only do it once!! Nothing wrong with that.
