ill let you guys know when i get around to doing something.

As of right now I am pretty set on OME coils, with either billy shocks or OME shocks, and 3 leaf AAL in rear and calling it a day.
    also the ECGS bushing.

It rides just like the stock truck does, the Bilstein 5100s are valved the same as the stock OR Bilsteins are, you just get more height with the springs.

Doesn't seem to be dropping anymore, after a week the current measurements have it at 1 and 7/8th up front and 2 inches in the rear total. I also have the additional weight of the tool box and longer bed in the rear and always have two passengers in the rear seats.

Very happy with this choice and it didn't break the bank and take me down the rabbit hole of new tires, UCA's or alignment issues.

Don't forget to include a 1/4 inch spacer for the driver side front to compensate for taco lean. Factory coils are side specific due to the weight of driver, battery and gas tank all being on the same side, the OME coils are the same spring rate so the 1/4 inch spacer compensates for this.

Coilover guys manually adjust for this, one of the advantages of coilovers. I prefer to set and forget.

@Boris20 Here you go OP. I have a QS 2017 TRD OR DCSB - I put on a 2" lift (OME 887 front + dakar light duty rear) + Soft ride Nitrochargers from @HeadStrong Off-Road (Marie).

That was 2" lift, love it. Then I put on the Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/75/r16 just like you mentioned. So essentially, here's your truck lifted.

Also did LR UCA, ECGS bushing. ~$1700 for lift (including LR UCAs) + ECGS bushing.

IMO the light duty ride well even when bed is empty. Never had an AAL but others I know have and they complimented the ride on my truck.

Personally, you probably could. I did with my wife's 4Runner and 2" lift. You might, however, have trouble with the caster when doing an alignment, and I've already contacted Headstrong and got a quote to order the LR UCAs for the 4Runner too.

So, I'm leaning toward yes, but if you can rummage up a few more bucks, it's nice to get it all done at once, because then you'll only be disassembling your suspension once. We did UCAs, ECGS and the lift all in the same day, 3 of us, took about 6 hours.

Now it's done and I don't have to sweat it.

I will be a bit over budget with the UCA's by 200ish. Ill think on that part.

Also where did you get the top rack from?

Just a reminder, you just doubled the cost of my suggestion for that additional 1/4 inch.

You could still go 887 springs and 3 leaf AAL with the rear. 3 leaf is much more comfortable than a single AAL.

That also leaves room in your budget for a roofrack AND steps or sliders.

I am guessing the 5100's should last just as long as the stock bills?
one thing I do see with coilovers is alot of guys and warrantys for them are like 30k tops, some guys get less before they need replaced or rebuilt.
I dont want to mess with all that. I want dependable and longevity. I hear the 5100s are valved the same as the stock shocks, so I would assume they would.

Also Boris, and I'm not 100% sure on this so have @HeadStrong Off-Road confirm, but I think the stroke on the OME Nitros are longer than the 5100's, meaning if you have UCAs that can handle the additional droop then you should have a little more downtravel vs just the 5100's.

That said, I'm not sure on that, so check that information before it becomes mis-information.

I have the 5100's on my wife's 4Runner with an OME coil and no UCAs, it still rides well. You can't go wrong either way. The 5100's are beefier than the stock billies, but the OMEs are considerably larger even than the 5100's. They are more on par with the 6112's.

You won't need UCA'S if you stay under 2 inches of lift

I put 5100s on my 1st gen about 7 years ago, no issues and no leaks.1457986593949-1633363427.jpg 1457986665568-955241857.jpg
That's why I put them on my 3rd gen, I tend to stick with what I like.
