15x7 tire size...

    I have 15x7 steelies.. whats the largest tire I can safely put on there? I searched, I promise...

    3 inch coilover and add-a leaf lift
    i would only run 10 1/2 inch wide tires on 15x7s, i think 12 1/2 will fit but i think 10.50s would be the safer route

    10.50's are probably the 'standard' for that wheel size.

    When I owned my 96 tacoma, I had 32x11.50's on my stock rims (15x7). I had to run my air pressure lower to ensure the tread wore evenly across.

    If you go wider than that, you'll have to run your tire pressure even lower.

    So - If you don't wanna have to worry about tread wear,on other than recommended tire pressure - then I'd stick with the 10.50's.

    its got 225/75/15 on there now... is that the same as 10.50x15?

    not sure, i think there is a size conversion chart on here somewhere though

    No, the 225/75/15 is about a 9" width
    The tire calculator is at the bottom of "mods and tutorials" drop down menu at the top.....just under the TacomaWorld banner.
