Are there any other 16-17 owners experiencing transmission issues when going up driveways at angle? This has happened to me about 3 times so far..

Say I'll approach the driveway on my right side, I'll turn into it.. as as soon as one wheel hits the incline, the transmission stutters/slips, and I'm literally stuck there until it "catches".

    My truck is a 16 DCSB/Auto/4x2 with 8,xxx miles.

When you hit the incline, did the truck stop and roll back before you hit the gas? If so, it could be your tracking control kicking in.

I was maintaining a steady throttle, literally just driving into a shopping center, and I stalled out for about 5 seconds with vehicles behind me. Quite nerve wracking, how can I trust my TRD OR in the trails :|

Maybe the fluid level is low and when you are at a certain steep angle it is starving for fluid.

I'll have to hit the same driveway again and look at the dash. To be honest I don't remember seeing any lights flashing, but then it's quite sunny out today, and I may have not noticed. It was the sound, and getting stuck that got my attention.

VSC activating while pulling into the driveway of a shopping mall in San Diego........?

    Please.

OP, take it to the dealer, but you might have a hard time though unless you can reproduce it reliably.

I agree. Sounds exactly like the trans is low on fluid. Incline is starving the valve body.

OP what part of SD do you live in? Does it happen anywhere else or on any other inclines?

San Diego isn't exactly flat so if what others are saying about a small incline starving the transmission is true, I'd expect you would experience this pretty often?

You probably have coolant intermix with your AT Fluid.

I've had this happen twice and in 2 different situations. Once on a steep road at a stop sign. In that situation, when I let off the brake to give it the gas to go forward, the truck rolled back a foot or two. The transmission caught almost immediately and I was able to proceed. The 2nd time was far worse. I stopped on an incline while leaving a covered parking garage, waiting for the auto gate to raise. When I tried to go forward, the truck simply rolled backwards. I had to get the person behind me to move back until the truck was on level ground. I was then able to go right up the ramp with no issue.

I live in PB, but this seems to only happen when transitioning from the street into a driveway, and only when turning into it (with a slight incline). It's never happened while exiting a driveway (decline).
