I have the Geolanders in a 265/75/r16 and I'm pleased. It's my commuter as well as fun truck and I've great luck with them in sand and rock gardens. Can't report on thick mud. Well behaved and quiet on road. Also a snow rated tire which is great. Not too pricey either. Much better than stocks on the sr5 i got and still a good step up from that wrangler what comes on TRD's. I don't usually talk trash on TRD's but I don't think it's out of bounds to say those tires aren't that well recieved.

I think the stock goodyears have been great. People just like to make excuses to rationalize spending more on "beefier" tires when the stock ones are still like new. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...dyear-kevlar-still-great-after-22k-mi.431366/

IMG_0579.jpg IMG_0600.jpg I have a 16 TRD OR, I put a 2" leveling kit on and upgraded tires to 285-75-R16 Toyo mt/s. At first rubbed on upper control arms when turning and with the wheel straight was dangerously close to them. Put 1.25" wheel spacers on, solves everything but will rub slightly when weighed down on plastic liner.

Fair point. But there's threads from both sides of the Wrangler fence on here. But I will agree people get rid of some stock tires just for the sake of upgrading. But hey, I fall into that camp so I can't throw the first stone!

I run 35x12.50x20's, -19 offset, with a 6" Rough Country lift ... I still have some rub in reverse mainly.

So the wheel spacers didn't actually solve everything. Still need to re-mold or trim plastic.

Keep them in the truck bed for increased rear-traction?

Probably slightly off-topic but my truck came with Toyo MT’s 295/60R20s which are supposed to be 33.94 inches tall but from the ground to the top of the tire installed is 34-3/4”

Does anybody have experience with Toyo tires and their size accuracy?

Also, they are supposed to be 11.5 inches wide but they’re 12.5 inches wide

    cheers,
    C.

    33" pizza cutters. 255/85/16 or 255/80/17

Once you do that, you'll just wanna go 2" Bilstein 5100 lift and be happy!

No money, all went to truck...
There's always the guys with lifts that jump in a stock suspension discussion.....

Curious, is there any difference with tire clearance between an Off-Road vs Sport?

Lift with 255/85/16 is only for looks. Not needed at all for off-roading.

35s will definitely rub. Agreed with 33s being okay width dependent
