Anyone else with this issue? I just did my first oil change and I noticed the rear diff seeping. I ran my vin and it said my truck didn't apply. I also read that the off roads didn't apply. My front left axle seal is leaking too, planning on contacting Toyota about that soon.

Probably best to take it to the Dealer, even if its not on the recall list something is obviously faulty if the rear is seeping.

Yes, a bunch of folks with OR models have it as well hit none are on the recall list. You can try to take it in. They should theoretically fix it under warranty since you aren't part of the recall, but not many people have had luck with that.

Not to mention they haven't acknowledged a problem so they likely don't have a "fix". Anything they do now would probably need to be redone in the future.

I have about 6500, The dealer where I'm at sucks. They wanted to charge me diagnosis fee for a concern I had when my truck had about 200 miles. I will call Toyota directly first so they can give me a reference number before I go.

why would this get locked? He is asking if anyone has a similar leak. The picture isn't even of the rear diff.

OP, definitely call Toyota and let them know your dealer is trying to charge you a diagnostic fee to look at your truck. If it is the only dealership around, Toyota should help set them straight. If they aren't the only dealership around, I'd go elsewhere.

The reason the post is about the rear is because of the recall. My truck is seeping from both. Just sucks having to deal with Toyota dealership sucks. Funny thing is that I'm a tech at Honda. I hate the dealership.

Took mine to the dealership and ran the Vin which came back with no recall. Service advisor advised I keep an eye on it and to bring it back if there is any seepage. Best to take it into a dealership. Schedule my 5k service for next week where he said they can re torque the bolts as well just for good measure

    Eyyy I'm from Fairfield!

Vacaville Toyota is where I got my baby. They have been pretty good from purchase to service I suggest you give them a try if you'd like
