18 tonneau / shell

I’m considering getting the OEM Tonneau. I noticed that the bed side rails are chopped up for a fit.

Will an aftermarket camper shell have a hard time fitting/securing with all the cut-outs?

I also noticed that the bed (w/ the oem tonneau) was missing the 4 tie-down cleats. Don’t they still come with the trucks? I have not asked the sales rep yet.

The pins that stick out for the factory tonneau might interfere with the topper's mounting brackets, but it depends on which brand you buy. Best thing to do is measure the locations on the topper, then either measure another truck with the factory tonneau or ask someone nicely on here to measure it for you. You can also lift up the bed rail side caps and remove the pins/plates for the factory tonneau if necessary, but you'll still have cut up side caps
