So while replacing the timing chain on a 1986 1 ton I went through the whole TDC and timing process and when I pulled the cam gear off there were three broken teeth on it. So I kept going and when I the the two new gears and chain on, the dimple on the cam gear was in the 9 o'clock position when it should be in the 6 o'clock position. I have never had any indication from starting or running that there was any timing or engine issues at all. How should I go about fixing this or should I just keep it how it was?
