Hey boys. I’m just going through my list of ideas to make my Tacoma look up to par the way I like. Is their any way I can convert my 1997 front end grille style, with the sealed beam lights that aren’t flush to the grille, to the 2001-2004 first gen style where the lights are flush and the grille looks like this?420D4F91-BD7E-4D2C-8763-D9BFD3AC6F90.jpg

I’m gonna take a wild guess and assume no, since it looks like the hood is a way different shape.

Another option is just getting some headlight covers that are clear or tinted to make the lights look flush with the grille, as seen here: 305A35C1-B6E1-4AAF-AE4A-941A2515ED98.jpg they have a clear option, a carbon fiber option, and a tinted option, the picture above is the tinted option, (which I think looks pretty cool)

Just some ideas, if anyone has a first gen that they slapped headlight covers on, specifically the GT styling ones or the Wade ones, as seen above, feel free to post some pictures here.

    Thanks everyone

Also to add, any custom grilles that are being made for the 1995-1997’s before they changed the grille design? Seems we are always left out :(

Also- with evolving led technology you have more options as with your current setup. I like the 95-97 front bumper.

What exactly do you mean by that? I used to run some led 9003 bulbs in my headlights, but due to where I live, I couldn’t see more than 2ft In front of my truck when it snowed and I had the LED’s.

I’m now running a led lightbar (18 inch) that I flush mounted into my bumper trim

You have the ability to swap out the whole housing for proper projector style ones. However since you live in an area with snow
