Hey guys, I recently bought my first tacoma which is a 1998 Regular cab. She is damn fun to drive but I want a stronger front end and more capable suspension. I was thinking about getting Dobinson MRR for the front and back half the rear end with something else - Chevy 63" possibly. What are your thoughts? Do any of you have Dobinson MRR on a 1st gen regular cab? Or a 1st gen 6 cylinder with a bigger cab? I'd love to hear your thoughts and/or suggestions on this!
    Thanks!

What do you think of it overall? Any issues or complaints? Do you wish you had the reservoir at all?
    Thanks

I've got close to 60k on my other Dobinsons setup, so when it came to building this out (woods / camping truck) I knew I wanted Dobinsons for this.

I went with the C59-134 coils in the front, per the team at Dobinsons USA, depending on configuration of cab/bed you can get 2-2.5" on a stock front end, 1.8-2.25" with up to 180 lbs. Knowing how well the coils are done, I don't see much impact from adding weight. I will be adding skids, winch/hidden mount, and sliders over the next month or two.

All that to say, it's firm unloaded and depending on your setup, there are one or two more coil options. For reference, the 134's are the stock coil for a 5th gen 4runner. Once weight is on it should smooth out a smidge, not saying it's bad, but I have e-load M/T's and they really firm it up.

I'm in TN and most of our wheeling is muddy forest tracks, so I don't really have a need for high recovery rates as we don't have long tracks of corrugations, etc. If I lived out west with vast deserty tracks, I'd of opted for them.

Don't have reservoir's in this and it's been all over the place.
