I'm running without it right now. If you stay on road I see no need to replace it. I have my stock shocks right now and at full flex the brake line has an inch or two of slack. If I had shackels as well, with longer shocks, I'd pop that sucker loose quick.

careful. The top link is for 2nd gens.

Downsouth is the best place to get 5100's- theyre the cheapest and they have a TW discount too. You don't need the dust boots. I dont run them on mine and havent had any problems

also, Downsouth sells a pack with all 4 IIRC.

Give them a call. They're always wiling to help a TW member, and ons of us have had great experiences with them in the past.

Or would I be better off just buying this kit from Wheelers?

No worries. I used to make threads when I was lifting my truck too

Theres tons of members on here that run toytec's ultimate lift kit and love them. But if you're gonna get it, buy it from here toytec has a TW discount as well :D

You think that is a good lift kit or should I just go with the EMU. Both are pretty much the same price.

I keep reading a lot about how crappy the Toyec Leafs are. A lot of guys seem to get the Toyec stuff, but get the EMU leafs.

    Thoughts?

I haven't had any bad experience with mine, but AALs are temporary because they will eventually sag.

Best thing to do would be to get a replacement leaf pack, like OME's Dakars pack

You think I would be better off price wise buying everything individually and make my own pack or just buy the EMU pack?

Seems like the Toyec Coils and shocks look better than the EMUs, but the EMUs leafs are better.

If I were you, I'd add up all the different parts and see which one is cheaper. Both are very good lifts so you wont be disappointed either way.

Toytec coils with a all-pro expedition leaf pack
    toytec coils with dakars
    OME nitrochargers w/ dakars
etc etc. There's tons of options....

Has anyone out there had to replace your stock UCAs with aftermarket after getting a 3" spacer in order to achieve wheel alignment? There seems to be lots of postings on this subject, but I'm new to TW and I believe I keep coming across postings regarding 2nd Gen Toys not 1st Gen. I have an 04 dbl cab 4x TRD. When I moved from stock last August I went with Bilstein all around and a 2" spacer front and 1" block rear from Readylift. I ran 255/75/17 BFG KM1 (32's) and had no problems with rubbing, evening when locking. I figured I had plenty of room for 285/70/17 Federal MT (33's), but was wrong. I rub when pulling out of parking stalls or what not, but fine while turning during motion. Obviously, I need a 3" spacer in the front and thinking of the 2" block in the rear to make it look level. But like I mentioned before I keep reading that I'll need aftermarket UCAs if I go with the 3" spacer in the front. Again, this is what I read regarding 2nd Gen. I don't want to fork out the money for UCAs if I don't have to, but I rather do that than kill my new tires. If someone can give me some insights on this matter that will be greatly appreciated. Thanx FNPPRV .

I wouldn't spend more money on more spacers. Have you tried trimming?

You know I haven't considered it. I'm not sure I need to go that route. I'm hoping the 3" spacer in the front will be enough to clear my 285/70/17 MT and not rub. I'm only getting the rub right where the wheelwell and fender flare meet, but on the wheelwell; right at the bottom there towards the door. I should get enough clearance with the 3" spacer right? But, do you think I'll need to get aftermarket UCAs in order to achieve wheel alignment? Thanx for your insights.

There's almost no way around trimming to fit 285s. I have been running a 2.5" spacer with 265s and needed minimal trimming. If you're set on the 3" spacer you can go for it, but you will likely still need trimming. as far as the UCAs I have no idea. I haven't had problems having mine aligned with the 2.5". I've seen many guys with more lift than me through different coil packs and such and weren't running aftermarket ucas. So I assume you would be ok without them.

Well, if you had to do minimal trimming with a 2.5" and 265's, than I'll probably have to do the same with the 3" and 285's. I'm installing the 3" next weekend (while keeping my fingers crossed) and I'll see what's next. Thanx for the info on the UCAs which was my main concern. We'll keep you posted.
