Hello all. I need help identifying a part. Or perhaps someone could point me to where I could get a diagram to assist in identifying this part.

The part is located directly behind the center trim and Radio bracket. Im trying to figure out what the part is behind the stereo bracket. Basically, its the bracket/support bars that the radio bracket bolts onto. Its the piece that you would screw your radio bracket into to secure the radio/bracket. The part is metal and it appears to go all the way down to the floor. I have no pictures unfortunately because I dont want to tear out my dash center. Thanks!

main reason i want to replace these parts is because the picklehead that the car before me did a mickeymouse job on installing the apline that was in the car. picklehead used the wrongs screw on one side and broke a screw on the other side. picklehead ended up leaving the screw in. instead of trying to remove screw and rethread everything, i figure i just make it fresh again! thanks.

without tearing into a service manual for a 1st gen, I cannot be certain.... Sorry, I dont have one on me :(

dealership may be able to tell u tho.... they should be able to pull up the diagram and tell u what bolts to what. Just go in and act like ur gunna buy the part...... no need to commit.

U can always say "thank you, Ill have to double check mine at home and Ill get back to you...what were the part #'s again?"

then order the parts based off their info

course, thats unless someone else can chime in here and answer ur question

#2 and #3 in this diagram kind of look like they connect to the insturment cluster/steering wheel housing............but thats just a guess, I may be waaaaay off
