    Interesting theory. Does size matter?
Especially for those of us with FPR boost referencing an extra 10 psi. The stock TRD injectors seemed capable of providing adequate fuel with FPR, albeit at near max duty cycle. I was thinking expanding the rail volume would reduce pressure.

I'm thinking with the stock rails, there will be very small variations in the fuel pressure at each injector when we get to our bigger power levels. It might even negate the benefits of the fancy flow-matched injectors most of you guys have.

For me this is about being able to more easily plumb my fuel pressure regulator and also, I already have -8an ran from the fuel tank to the engine bay, so now I’ll have -8an all the way to the FPR and I can ditch the existing rubber fuel lines in the engine bay.

    Also the bling, yo!

    My shit is all stock.
Oh, I'm tempted. Don't get me wrong. At the 10+ price point anyway...

If these were machined -3mm specifically for the FIC injectors that we all bought; That'd sweeten the deal.

We're also gonna need regulators and dampeners, and more plumbing to and fro. Group buy there?

It would if we didnt have a restriction at the end of the rail (fpr). Its only job in life is to restrict fuel returning to the tank to keep pressure in the rails at 43.5 (non fpr mod).
If the blingy rails have twice the volume then it would take longer to build pressure in the rails but it would also show less pressure drop when each injector opens because the reservoir of fuel (in the rails) is larger.

Imagine drilling six holes around the bottom edge of a 5 gallon bucket then place a small tube and shutoff valve at each of the 6 locations.
This is simulating the fuel rails and injectors.
Now if you filled the bucket up, sealed the lid and pressurized the container then opened/closed one of the valves at the bottom you would get a certain amount of pressure drop in the 5 gallon container. Make sense?

Now do the same test changing ONLY the size of the reservoir (fuel rails). This time we will use a small 8oz. can as our reservoir and retest.
My hypothesis is that you would see a much bigger pressure drop this time when you opened/closed the valve.

Of course the fuel pump is always trying to maintain flow and the fpr is always trying to regulate pressure but by having a larger reservoir (fuel rails) I would think pressure at the injector would be more consistent.

I would think there will always be small variations (pressure drop) at the injector regardless of fuel pump, rail size etc. But the larger system would keep the pressure MORE constant.

@05Taco4x4 is now making an FIC specific version of the fuel rails. Deal sweetened!

As far as group buys for FPD, FPR and plumbing, that would be more complicated due to it potential involving 2-3 additional vendors. Also, the plumbing could be slightly different based on the needs/preferences of each person.

    Correct!

Looks like somehow the whole thing is a link to 05taco4x4s profile. Great explanation nonetheless! Thanks for taking the time to explain, John:fistbump:
