    Yup, anyways I will keep my old alternator as its just fine as a backup but it’s probably a 60 amp unit,
    So a 105 will be awesome.

    Guess I have a new mod for this coming weekend, :)

    Dam I love this place, it keeps me spending money

    Well ain’t this a great find! Looks like I’ll be grabbing 2 of these alternators for me and my father. I always thought there had to be a good factoryish alternator that’d fit the tacos.

    Too bad no one has found a 160 amp like I can get for the tundra.

    It could be worse. You could be hooked on $60,000 bass boats and accessories that are part time or seasonal use.

    Rock Auto is going to be wondering what the hell is going on with (not so popular) Suzuki alternators. The price may be going up soon.

    Santiago I like to ask a question here I don't want to sound like I'm dumber than a bag of rocks , I don't know squat about electrical systems so here goes.......
    Doesn't changing the input of 80 amps to 105 amps screw with the Tacomas electrical system and cause other problems ? Once again my disclaimer I don't know squat about electrical systems . :confused:

    Nope, output is based on demand. High amp alternators have been put on tacomas for years, I just found a cheap way to do it. Many guys buy high dollar units or modify their truck to take a gm alternator, this is just my way of doing it.

    Sorry, I do not. I just grabbed one from the box that fit snug in the old alternators hole.

    You can do this swap without disconnecting the battery as long as you wrap the positive lead on the alternator being careful not to touch any body parts and wrap it up?

    I hate having to wait for the ECU to reset whenever I do disconnect the battery waiting for the 300-500 miles learning curve again.

    I just disconnected the alternator lead at the fuse box.
