Yes. 6" lift is way too much, especially if you are just doing it for looks. It just destroys parts way faster than normal. Not to mention that it looks ridiculous, but of course that's just my humble opinion.

Only looks ridiculous if it isn't done right. I've seen some ridiculous looking 3" lifted Tacoma's also! Just my .02

You dont have to cut anything with the fabtech 6in lift. I have a 2004 tacoma and im running 35X12.50 and they dont rub at all! Just get a 4.5 backspacing on the wheels so that they dont rub on the frame. Any questions pm me and id be glad to give any advice i can.

It says right on fagtechs website that "minor trimming is required"... Although with 3 1/4" BS.. But still. Flex that thing I bet you'll rub.

Old thread, good looking trucks. Kinda makes it hard to decide whether i wanna keep my truck a clean looking mallcrawler with a 6" lift or spend more money on an SAS and beat the piss out of it. It only has 75k miles on the OD so maybe ill go mall crawling :D

What would be a good replacement for the front struts for the 6" Fabtech? The struts that it come with are terrible. Anyone ever changed these out with something else?

King Shocks make an AWESOME replacement! That is my plan... when money gets there! ;) lol
Here's the quote I got directly from manufacturer:
"We do have a OEM stock replacement shocks for your Toyota Tacoma. The part numbers you are looking for is going to be # 25001-651 for the front and 25001-653 for the rear . Those part numbers are for your 6” Fabtech lift that you already have on your truck. Pricing for the front is $1244.76 W/ the lift, and $1034.75 for the rear set of shocks with the lift included . If you have any other questions please feel free to call me here at king shocks at any time.
    Thank you,
    Elliott Williams
    (714) 530-8701"

So these prices should be different if you already have the lift on. I don't think the guy realized that I already had the lift when he quoted me up!
