My rear differential is on its last legs, looking to replace it with junk yard parts.the motor is the 3rz, any idea which years/models of tacos or 4runners will swap directly in?

It's a removable 3rd member so you can replace just the center section. I believe any 3rd member from a 1st gen tacoma or 3rd gen 4runner will fit. You need to know your gear ratio and find one that matches your existing gear ratio (so it will match your front diff and you can keep using 4wd). Also if you have an elocker, which I don't believe you do but idk, you have to keep like for like. Find an open diff for your open diff, or elocker for your elocker, they're not interchangeable without doing some mods to reshape the housing/flange.
