1st Gen HID HELP

I would like to order a set of HID headlights. I drive a lot and it seems like my headlights have a lot of room for improvement. I would like to get the brightest headlights I can for a decent price. I know nothing about HID systems so any words of wisdom yall can throw my way would be much appreciated.

 

1st and foremost do a lot of research on the topic. I was in the same situation and drove a lot at night, 3rd shift. HID's helped me a lot.

The higher the K rating the bluer/greener/pink the color gets, that doesn't refer to brightness. Lookup a Kelvin scale.

You have 35watt, 55watt, etc bulbs similar to normal halogen headlights, this is brightness. These wattage ratings are not the same between HID and Halogen, a 55w halogen is about as bright as a 35watt HID.

Check out Slim cubby for a plug and play kit. The proper way to put in HID's is with Projector housings and not the reflector housings that are stock.
