Maybe the hoops can be close to the truck so they aren't sticking out real far?

I call them the frame nipples, since they stick out of my TG bumper  They just left holes in mine, other years the frame sits just about flush in the holes.

I had just bought a Pelfreybilt hybrid bumper for my 2nd gen before I bought my 1st gen. I'd be interested in the same kind of thing for my first gen. For me the weight can be prohibitive. Plus I have a 98 and I'm strongly considering the Trail Gear bumper since I don't have to weld anything and it costs $425 on Summit Racing. I will have to add a grill protector bar to mount lights under / looks preference and that will run me another ~$50-~$75.

If the first gen Pelfreybilt bumpers are priced around where the 2nd gen hybrid bumper starts (~$700) and don't weigh a ton (especially since the first gens are narrower), then I'll be considering it for sure. :D

Was going to look at RTT once my tax return rolls in, but a rear swingout would shoot to the top of the list! Might even replace my trail gear front too..:spy:

Sub'd. Also, I agree with Monte on the beveled edge. The Elites are perfect...

^ +1 if they were still making them it would be the only plate bumper I'd consider buying vs what's on the market.

Sweet! Anxious to see what's in the works. I'm thinking of getting a Front bumper this year sometime. Not set on anything yet. I'll be waiting patiently :)

I hope a rear is an option as well.

A bit late for a front bumper for me......
