Baja bugs are neat, always thought it was cool how it was only like 4 bolts to pull the engines, but on the other hand the beatle motor just doesn't do it for me

@jubei What did you go with???

I think MCM did that a while ago, E85 and everything. I wish they would do less E85 stuff now though because it just isn't as available in the US. Easier to get race gas, pump near my house has 110oct and you can boost it to 126 with a can of octane raiser.

Im curious about that too. @BartMaster1234 you should start laying practice beads so you can make that front bumper.

I did try welding some beads to that rusty fifth wheel hitch I pulled off of the 5-lug, but I got way too much spatter and not good enough penetration since the metal was contaminated with mortar and paint. A flapper disc didn’t do much to prepare the metal. Didn’t want to waste the C25 so I used flux core.

It's amazing how much high octane makes a difference on vehicles that need it though. My Harley loved 100 octane, timing could advance more and damn did it pull more. Taco loves it under boost and idles a wee bit lopey on 110 haha. The Maxima drive the timing up a good 5-7° with high octane and wow can that pull
