The 1st was so good in part because they didn't rely on CGI as much as they did in the sequels...the fight scene CGI in the sequels was awful. These days it could end up being a lot better though.

Carefull with that Zertex stuff, I've heard it can be a little wierd at times.

Really tho, if you used Zerex Asian formula, you don't need to change that out. I'm running that in the Taco and the 4runner.

I though Napa axles were actually reman OEM Toyota axles? No?

My Autozone axles in the Taco have not killed me yet.

Yes, Used the asian formula with toyota on the bottle, but I am going to switch it to toyota red.

230k on the same radiator, I felt good about the change.

Its super odd this happens right now, I am changing the entire AC system in like two weeks when all the parts arrive.

To think, I traded in an OEM for a core when I did the passenger side axle. I didn't know any better at the time.

The ECU shuts down the AC if the temp goes too high. The temp needle may not even move either, so someone would be like wtf with my AC?? But AC is fine but temp got too high. Just sharing is all. :D

Maybe they used to be? I dunno...I know that Toyota only takes in OEM cores for exchange so I assume they must be using those for the remans

I bought one today even though my old one is probably fine. Rather not worry about it.

So apparently what I understood from a well versed 1st gen taco guy, is that:
-the aftermarket axles are not rebuildable.
-all aftermarket axles come from China.
-the CVJ rebuilds aren't rebuilt, just inspected and rebooted(grrrr this piss me off, selling the axle as 'rebuilt' jack asses)

I made that mistake when I was first starting out. Kept blowing up those stupid orielly axles, and my God did they bind and click at extension. Started hoarding stockers from part outs and such. That way I don't have to spend the money on expensive remans and keep changing POS parts store ones. I dunno why but the parts store ones never cover the entire travel of the suspension.
