lol. I still have big round lights sitting here. Honestly not sure what the hell I'm doing with the axles. For now, they'll sit on the shelf.

on another note, while trying to track down the clunk coming from the rear of the truck, dropped the spare and took the time to change these out since I had to check the tension on those clip bolts. ARB had sent me a bunch of them so I had them on-hand already. @eon_blue, each one of those bolts on the passenger side was way tight. Loosened them up but still need to take it out and see if its resolved or not.

Sure I’ll try to drop it off tomorrow. I still owe @Empty_Lord some horn connectors.

Hey I don't have many real life friends so I gotta guilt them into not moving

My 2 best friends both got the heck outta CA when they started their families and I can't exactly blame them lol. One's up in OR and the other took over his dad's firearm business and moved it up to ID 5 years ago. Still need to get up there and visit him

That's awesome dude! I would love to do that but I think it would take my azz a week with an o2 tank. Altitude and I just don't get along anymore. Hell, I don't even like going up to Tahoe anymore. As gorgeous as the Sierra Nevada is, after a few days I just need to get off those mountains.

I met up with the owner of one of the Little Rock Titan II sites because he gave me two more of the explosion proof lights that was inside his launch control center. The glass globe in the first one I bought from him broke so he gave me two more, one to keep and one to sandblast and give back to him. He actually lives about two hours from here in Sacramento and flies to Arkansas to work on his site. He’s a pilot.

I’m keeping the other one original, and I’m restoring the second one. There was lots of pitting from rust and the inherent porousness of cast iron so I filled it in with bondo.

    Evidently I overdid it.

This was the result of 24 hour soak in rust dissolver, and about 30 minutes of sandblasting. It’s mostly mineral build up from being underwater for 32 years.

If it's the same popping issue I had with my Dakars then that should take care of it, it did for me. Took me awhile to figure it out, randomly came across an ARB article talking about how those bolts need to be loose enough to allow the individual leafs to move a bit.

I still want those by the way. And now I have a bumper so things have gotten more urgent. :p

Also those isolators you bought they might fix your squeaking but the entire design of those stupid things is terrible. I take the bolts out and throw them in the trash and then bend those things so that they're more like a funnel but not necessarily touching the leafs. Boom you instantly have more flex now and way less rubbing/binding

Id think some glazing and spot putty wouldve done the trick. But have fun hand sanding all that haha.

Yeah I look back at it now and glazing putty would’ve been the better choice.

Hey, I thought I saw a post of your bad-ass incandescent trail lights ;) I haven't forgotten, apologies for the delay.

Actually, when I ordered the OME kit, the one pack had 3 of those shattered to hell. Ended up calling ARB Tech Support and they sent me out like 6 packets at not charge. Interesting on bending them over. Would make it a bit wonky if you wanted to add another leaf later but definitely would eliminate those plastic POS liners.

Here's some answers from other LX470 owners about the mystery plug below.

I'm betting the plug and wiring is to support the elusive front axle eLocker feature that I keep hearing about.

you have way too much time on your hands. I'll order up a transmission and transfer case tomorrow. Will drop everything off to you following weekend. Will hand over your install cash when I come back to pick up the truck. :boink:

The only front lockers on 100 series was actually a 105 series. It was 100 series body on 80 series chassis and drive train. And so that meant a front locker option. So maybe the 105s used the same wiring harness as the 100s? I could see that being true

Or there's something new that they've figured out. That definitely could be, it been a few years.
