We postponed it cause the hotel we scheduled made a mistake on there end and put us in when they had no rooms. Was an easy fix and gave us time for arranging some home things.

oh hell. forgot about that. cool! should be an outstanding trip! I've always wanted to go.

The meltdown and subsequent irradiation of an entire prefecture of course changed my mind but...no joke - we actually were planning on a trip then that damn earthquake and tsunami hit. Horrible, absolutely horrible.

hope you enjoy it. good time too. not too hot or cold.

Ok so my OME shackles can probably be cleaned up but they are gooped the hell up with EnergySuspension's Formula 5. Didn't know any better and ended up using that stuff. Tacky as hell and a nightmare to try and manually load a grease gun with but it did do its job. Figure I'd just order a new set instead of messing with these.

Question is, stick with the OME Yellow bushings or swap them out? When I had ordered the kit from Wheeler's I had them send me their bushings. Daystar I believe. Going to replace them just not sure if I want to go with another brand or leave the yellow bushings in place.

As for the UBolts, haven't removed them since install so should be able to re-use Then again, 40 bones so ...

So I haven't owned my Dakars as long as you have, but one thing I've read alot about (as well as experienced) is that these leaf packs tend to be really noisy.

Most of that noise stems from the front bushing and those that solved their issue did so by replacing it with a poly bushing.

I have the bushings (in storage) but once I get around to it I'll definitely swap them out.

This was per @GHOST SHIP recommendation, not to mention the long thread he linked me showing others having the same success story.
