I learned about a Toyota parts site from Mud in Puyallup WA that beats everybody's deal on LC steering racks. They give a discount on shipping that made the price $7 less than McGeorge. Interesting.

If the previous owner couldn't afford a car payment, said person was probably irresponsible and most likely neglected any and all needed maintenance.

Cool. For sure. That may be near @Speedytech7

One thing I've seen on happen in car clubs over the past 10 years, is the "best deal" supplier seems to change from year to year. I think they decide to get aggressive with pricing to pick up new online customers in cycles. You've got to keep up with the latest supplier info to consistently get the best deals.

That's be accurate with what I notice as well. On Mud THE dude was Cruiser Dan. He was manager for parts department for American Toyota in Albuquerque NM. He knew everything by memory on the part numbers and stuff with the 80 series Cruisers. In the LC/Mud world he was somewhat of a rockstar. Lol
But I just found out last week he's running the Heritage Land Cruiser museum here in SLC! Definitely gonna go see him, he helped me swap out a busted birfield on my 80 series while in Moab for the Cruise Moab Land Cruiser event.
@Kwikvette dude we could even organize trail runs and events for the group and stuff! We also gotta get a group to go see the Baja 500 or 1000, whatever it is, but go down and watch the trucks fly by us in person.... Would be dooooope:cool:

Opened up the tent on the cruiser after giving it and the cruiser a thorough washing. I'm always amazed how dry that thing stays in there, not even a mildew smell. It's been through some heavy rain, snow, washing, ice.

At the u-bolts, its solid - no light. Is that normal to have that kind of space between them?

The main eye bolts were a little under torque spec which I once again have @ 116 ft lbs.
    Ubolts at 90 ft lbs
Upper and Lower shock mounts at 53 ft lbs
OME Shackles at 60 ft lbs

How did you do the shackles, they ride better and squeak less if you do 30lbs per side to reach a total of 60 rather than 60lbs per side

Oh now there is an idea. I was going by the spec on the sheet which came with them. So your saying 30 on each - like this,
