More or less, yeah. I just don't have my GPS on unless I'm navigating somewhere anyway. They can get me by cell towers if they want.

Not coming to US. Not a Land Cruiser. They're just using the successful name association I imagine, also will be below the Rav4 in the lineup. I see it kinda like a scion xB or something
"Three powertrain choices – a 1.8-liter or 2.5-liter hybrid, or a 2.0-liter gas engine – will pair with a continuously variable transmission. Front or all-wheel drive will be available with Toyota borrowing the AWD system from the RAV4, which the TJ Cruiser will slot below in Toyota’s lineup."

haha somehow I totally missed the "Don't expect to see it in the US" in big bold letters at the very beginning of the article, whoops

Well that's a relief I guess, hopefully it's not a sign of things/designs to come our way eventually though. I was hoping the days of Kleenex box looking cars were behind us

I think it'll do great in the intended market and be good reliable consistent transportation for someone. I think that's all it's intended to be. I could be wrong though :D

So yesterday I attempted to tighten the steering rack guide on my truck a bit...when my front end is jacked up my front wheels have some side to side play (simultaneously) that also makes the steering wheel move so it's obviously something with the steering and not an individual wheel problem. Little bit of looking around on TW led me to believe that my rack guide might need tightening so I ordered a 24mm hex key (fucker's big) and crawled under to tighten it up.

Thing is, I read that the torque spec on that is only 18 ft/lbs and then a quarter turn loose...it took a lot more than 18ft/lbs to even get mine to budge so I dunno if it being loose is the problem. I did managed to tighten it a smidge but it didn't seem to change anything. I know that if you over-tighten the guide you can ruin the rack so I didn't want to push it.

Bad rack bushings maybe? I've had new ones sitting in my desk forever but I need to take out my diff drop to get the first one installed.

@Running Board Man I remember you talking about tightening the rack guide once, was yours loose when you needed to tighten it?

I can not imagine going snowshoeing for fun.

I’ve thought about getting some so I can walk on top of the crusty snow instead of falling to my knees every step though, cause that’s killer.

yeah we learned pretty quickly that it's a fucking big workout, my legs felt like I'd done squats all day for a week afterward.

We had intended to go for over a mile to the lake and back and it took us like 3 hours just to go maybe 1/2 a mile before we turned around lol.
