you would be better off buying a clean frame from cali than paying all that labor and storage time

 

i beg to differ with the coating i am using , it looks very durable so far, and all i have on it is the primer

 

im hopefully going sunday. im still waiting on clearance from the yard that has it. the owner has given me his blessings. now its just dealing with the salvage yard.
i may cut the engine out. we'll see

 

i would still have to completely strip the garbage bullshit coating on that completely off as its total garbage for this area as time has proven

those frames in CA are bullshit as well, same coating as i have here

have you gotten inside the frame? thats where they rot those worse at.

 

I thought you cut it out already. What was that engine with the bad cylinder walls you were talking about before that you boxed up?

my estimate on that is probably would cost a whole lot more to do that but IDK

a new frame is about $4k last i checked +/- $500(ish) + labor + any parts = more than $10k

but what i have is good they tell me, it just needs re-coated in something much more durable for this climate

 

It appears you are missing 50% of the engine.

 

Used frame. What insane person buys a brand new frame?

 

Believe it or not, keeping it all the way it is with the exception of some upgraded seats (if that happens).

I put Katzkin perforated leather seats with contrast stitching in the 5.0 over a year ago and love the way they turned out...and how they're wearing in.

If I don't find some nice seats that somewhat match my interior, I may just get leather put in.

As far as everything else goes? I'll leave it stock.
