Fuck...a vial runs about $2,500 per...and a typical bite requires 6-8 vials

My dog got bit, twice, last year in the San Bernardino mountains. It was a BIG Southern Pacific rattler. She is on the vaccine regularly so it was lucky but still rushed her 1 hour down the mountain to a vet and she got a whole vial of the antivenin (VenomVet) in two rounds of IV and still came close to loosing her. Scary as shit and $1700.

I'd like to; I've driven to Florida and back once, other than that I've done multiple drives from Texas to CA and back.

Will need to take a vacation and say fuck it, drive across the US.

I thought it was 'safe' to ingest the poison because it only effects you if delivered directly into the blood stream? Not that I'd want to take the chance lol
