Did a taillight on a 2016 GX460, and the climate control on a 2007 Highlander.

That damn climate control costs $800 from Toyota, and $300 used.

Huh. Whod'a thunk that CC unit was so expensive. Theyre $7 right now at my local pull a part with the sale on all air products this month. I just bought one from a 4Runner.

 

What am I looking at working? The ignition switch?

 

Electronic HVAC units are worth good money in general. I sold the 01-04 Tacoma/96-02 4Runner electronic climate controls for $100 a pop all day.

Because they break. Like crazy. Especially the ones in the Highlander. I bought this from a business whos majority revenue comes from 1st Gen Highlander HVAC rebuilds

 

Thats news to me. My moms 06 hasnt had any issues.

How do you test the 4Runner units?

 

The tilt and telescopic wheel motors. Installing new ones made it work.

 

Which car is that in? Looks Lexus to me

You don’t. You just pray they work haha.

You can probably test them in the FSM but I’ve never bothered. Every single one I’ve sold has worked.
