Take the shock out? It's 3 nuts and a bolt, takes like 10min for both

 

No its the little pocket behind the shock. Theres a little hole you can see into right above the frame rail. Aint gonna get anything in there to sand with.

 

eastwood internal frame spray is what i got up there with in my tundra.

 

Looks like it's new shit only. Doesn't address any problems I've seen much on 1st gens. TC cam tabs do well enough and lockout's do better already

 

1st gens are getting it to. its in the post somwhere. the bracing against the frame is what i like. The TC is just the tabs

 

FF is gonna prevent any paint from sticking in there. And honestly this is probably the best application for fluid film. A small crevice where not a lot of crap is gonna collect. Ill just re coat every fall.

 

I think this is what I'll do to mine as well, the outside will be easy to clean up just gonna Chuck the body up on a wood block or two to make some room and take the bed off.

 

3m cavity wax is what i'd use lol. but shits expensive.

 

Just like they're getting RCLT, I'll believe it when it's actually for sale. They hardly ever deliver on products for older rigs

 

That's all we really need up there, those other braces don't address an issue we have

Im pretty sure thats the stuff Toyota used on the inside of my 1st gen frame. The black CRC went on the outside, and on the inside theres a thin white film. Not like the white goop that the turd gens are getting. Mine is much lighter and even.

 

i have the stuff they used. its not 3m cavity wax. its nodul undercoating or something.. its a whole kit.. ive got like 5 boxes. shit sucks.

Worked good on mine . Granted the PO only drove it 46k miles in 13 years. And when he had it sprayed in 2010 it was only at 25k miles. Everywhere Ive scraped it off is shiny black paint underneath. Except up by the coil buckets and motor mounts, probably hard to spray there, was pretty rusty up there along the weld seam on top of the frame.

 

the stuff works great, on a frame with no rust. it traps mositure whever it had rust under it though. its what rotted my frame out. my 01s frame was pretty solid until 2 years after it got coated

 

Never thought I'd do it but it was so much fun
