    Cool.. :)

Be sure to paint them with Rustoleum before installation. The shiny bare metal will rust when exposed to salt. There is a thread about it going on Mud. You know I will paint mine with some self etching primer and Rustoleum.

I saw some other Ultra Power products that were some name brand -- but there was only like 1 or 2.. I think they scavenge surplus inventory and re market -- which is ok as long at the product is what is shown in the pictures.

Thanks for the reminder on painting them. I definitely plan on doing that. Gonna do multiple coats too because I don't do that power wash twice a week stuff
On the parts, that's what I was hoping to hear. That the pics typically match what they ship. They better, or I'm done with Rock Auto and going back to Prime Auto:rofl:. Prime is too easy for the returning of crap and stuff. And no cost shipping. And I don't solely use Prime fitment info anyway. I find what I need outside of Amazon but order through them because they're shipping and returns are easy. Rock auto charged me 9 bucks to ship and handle the 2 ball joints. I like pricing that factors in the tax the shipping all that. One of only good things about the EU! That and 50 dollar flights between EU countries themselves.... We don't even get that with state to state flying here(old man rant over:rofl:)
    :D
So steering wheel moving like it should now? That LX is plush. I'm liking plush more and more as I age:cool: wanted an LS430 for a couple years before I bought the second 100 series, but yeah, plush is nice. I kinda want plush and fast. Like GSF Sport sounds about right :cool:

Got it. Did you go with V14.20 or V14.30? I'm currently running V14.20.

That's not required. That's actually what the overland crowd thinks is cool and we HAD to do that wheeling in Washington where I grew up because of trees. Those cables are called limb risers. They lift branches up and over your wind screen. They're hella useful. Not sure his ever touched a branch but that's what they're for. Limb Risers.

Running 14.20 but I'm still not having any luck. But I'm also trying to get it working in Win10, so that might be part of the issue.

The steering wheel is working great. I don't like it automatically retracting though. I may disconnect it if I can't Techstream to turn off the automatic stuff.
I'm not really into a lot of features and leather interiors. I like the base cloth/velour interiors and minimal features like the AZ LC100.

I may do some of the "Poverty Pack" mods in this thread. I just had to laugh when I saw the thread.:rofl::rofl:

Let me give .20 a shot on my Win 7 64 machine. I've already done the 64bit registry hack.

I remember that 'poverty pack' name! Too funny. True though, many things people don't even use let alone don't need. That's up to them though. No bearing on me. Lol
Which of those mods pique your interest? What about a simple switch on the ground side to those steering column motors? Turn switch manually on when you want to adjust and need to power the circuit... Wait a sec, is it on its own circuit in the fuse box? Can you pull a fuse to keep the motors from energizing?

On the 99 model, the fuse is in #52 and combined with SRS that sucks. I think later models use a separate fuse in Box 2 #19 just for T&T wheel that people pull out.

I saw on one of the poverty pack threads about removing the Ts for the rear heat and just having straight heater hoses. There will be no passengers in the 3rd row seat to use it.

Here's an item that may be in conflict on my USB serial port. I have an FTDI driver installed for the USB serial converter that was part of one of my desperate attempts on Friday.

Do you show a driver for USB Serial Converter? I've had FTDI drivers installed for other software on different laptops.

COM3 appears for the USB Serial Port when I plug in the VCI cable. So as it stands right now, looks like FTDI drivers may incorrectly used for the VCI cable?

That's actually a good long term idea.

Oh I just remembered an 'issue' since you mentioned Ts. Up by the firewall there are a couple of poly/composite Ts that coolant goes through, those composite Ts can/will breakdown after years and years of heat/cool cycles. Someone on Mud found the correct brass or copper Ts to replace those, so they will never be an issue. I think a few guys had them break or leak on a trip and that would suck. Just something to keep an eye on. I think I even found and ordered them on Amazon.

CS_AR don't sweat responding to my posts man. I know how I am when working on electronic or computer crap, it requires my full undivided attention lol. So if you're similar don't worry about it. I hope you guys get that techstream stuff figured out:cool:

I saw a post last night about some metal Ts. I went back looking and couldn't find it. I'm afraid to touch those Ts just expecting them to crumble. I would go with metal Ts. Surely there isn't some long heater hose that runs all the way back to the unit in the rear?

Just looked and mine shows the same FTDI driver. I'm still trying to get it working. Techstream runs fine, it's the communication thru the mini-vci that's the issue still for me. Trying a newer version of Techstream now, v15.22.026. I also have some older versions I might try if this doesn't work.
