Probably would go towards lawyer fees to help get himself out of jail.

That's an incredibly bad idea, ask me how I know.

And just because you don't hear anything from the IRS for a few years doesn't mean they won't come knocking around year 4 or 5

Unless you've done it for years and owe them millions in back taxes you won't go to jail. You'll just get hit with a ton of penalty fees and have to pay it back. If it's a one time offense and a relatively small amount owed (say a few grand) they'll knock off almost all of the fees and expect the initial due payment immediately

Please, please, please... Take a personal finance class, I'm sure the local comm college offers them, you don't even have to pay just find out when it is and sit in on it. The American education system failed your/my generation by not offering these as gen eds.

You dont really have to worry about it now with a part time job, but learn how to fill out a W2 so you atleast break even. Some people like bigger paychecks, some like a big refund. I like a bigger weekly pay myself, but since I still live with my folks I take the small refund.

We had something like that too, it was not very useful if your parents filled you in on how to do a basic filing and budget your income. But there's so much more to creating a budget and balancing your expenses. I took a whole bunch of business finance classes in college because it was just so damn interesting to me and I was damn good at it. I always wonder if I should go back and complete a finance major.

Awesome! Glad that worked for you too.

I went and made changes to the customization settings and it all worked. Now I seemed to have screwed something else up because the center diff lock won't lock and the VSC/Trac lights are on. Guess I need to reconnect and see if I can figure out what I did. :frusty:
