I dread the day I have to deal with taxes when I open a shop.

which may be coming sooner than later

Do yourself a favor and hire somebody that loves torture, aka a tax guy. Just save all your paperwork and receipts and try to be organized

Or better yet, employ an accountant for your shop that can do all that for you and never have to worry about a thing...so long as it isn't Nicholas Cage's accountant

Believe me it's worth it, especially if you dread doing it yourself. Some people don't mind it but I'll happily pay someone to do it for me and not worry about ever getting a threatening letter in the mail from the IRS ever again

    I love the shit
I can turn on and off. Don’t want seatbelt chime? Off. Don’t want locks locking when moving? Done?

Want all the windows to roll down when you hold lock on the key fob? You bet you can.

Will an old Panasonic tough book laptop work for this kinda thing? Forgot I have one of those old magnesium cased toughbooks laying around.

As long as it's Windows XP, 7, 8 or 10 and there's a USB port, then all you need is the mini-vci cable, the software I shared and you are good to go.

Let's just say it was a dumb move my first year out of college. Doesnt matter if you make10 million a year or 10k a year, if you don't file at all the IRS will come knocking and it probably will be years after you think you got away with it lol.

Oh and those years count as penalties too. Fortunately I got them almost entirely forgiven and had to pay the initial amount owed which was only a few grand. Turns out they are actually pretty forgiving if you actually work with them. If you ignore the IRS or actively try and avoid them then you're gonna have a bad time.

Just let us know the operating system and version. I think dealers used Toughbooks so it should be fine.

    ahhhhhh... yeah.

Advice to all of you 'just starting out' types, FILE your FED and STATE Taxes EVERY SINGLE YEAR. For those that don't own property, its a no-brainer and depending on your income level, can be free as well.

Thanks for saying that simply. I really do appreciate it. Computer help for me is definitely best in black and white answers like that. I'll make sure this thing works and hit you guys up.

Here's a list of customization options for the LX470. The Tilt and Telesco was the only option that had an "On/Off" menu behind it. The others were not so clear. i guess I need a full service manual to figure out how to change the other options.
