wow Alcan got back to me quick, didn't think they'd be open today since it seems like everyone else took the lame holiday off lol.

$690 quote for 250# over stock carrying capacity. I don't know what the stock capacity is but an extra 250# over should be good for most of my trips. Think I might give this a go

@Wulf when were you planning on taking off your Alcans? Do you know what they were rated for?

I was working the late Concierge shift yesterday at a fancy hotel here in the city, and I get a call from the owner of a huge restaurant group asking me how many concierges were on the schedule.

He came by and brought us all wine.

Work picked up. I have zero desire to tinker at home anymore.

Also, my inner turd genner is gonna come out here, but I had one Tire replaced by Firestone under warranty today. Now my powdercoated wheel looks like this.

None of the others look like that after having tires mounted 4 weeks ago. The idiot tech wasnt careful enough when using the tire machine. Guess I gotta go back there tomorrow and see how or if theyre gonna pay to fix it.

Plus one for spray paint :p

Jk, that sucks. Stay calm and I'm sure they'll fix it.

    Good question

They must be rated for 150+. The PO had a camper setup on the truck and I've been wheeling them last 8 years and they still have no sign of fatigue

Yeah just goes to show I cant have nice things. Now its gonna be a real pain in the ass to get a quote from my powdercoater, and go through the running around with Firestone. And I cant drive on my spare for long since its a size smaller. When I had my wheels done it took 3 weeks.

    I have mods
This showed up today. Fuel rails and injectors still installed. Needs a good cleaning but it looks in good shape.
