So I made a post about it in my build thread. The 4Runner must've been getting it's speedometer reading from a sensor elsewhere. I'm not even sure if any 3rd gen 4Runner has a speed sensor on the transfer case. I haven't spent much time around 4WD ones other than my 96 though. As for the gears I know there has to be other tooth counts other than the 33, 31, and 30. If I ever run giant tires on the flatbed I'll look into it.

Reminds me of this solid axle swapped pickup with a custom flatbed that was setup really nice and wasn't trail beaten. But it's 22RE had blown. The guy was in Denver and wanted like $2500 or something for it.

 

Theres a 2nd gen 4 runner 4x4 for 1k

Not rusty but rough enough that i wouldnt feel bad sending it down tight trails and getting scratches
