I promise I typed my post with adjective dope before I saw you did

 

the guy at HF told me to get some plumber tape and wrap the threads, it sorta worked

That stuff just lubes the thread so you can get more engagement. It doesnt actually seal anything

You gunna want a pipe dope that is for gas and oil. Like loctite pts or something

 

anybody or nobody in this LTGD thread has a rubbery type undercoating under the cab floorpan and bed

am i the only one that had this done

it's the stuff the FF spray turned black

 

i just have an insane amount of water vapor, probably humidity, coming down the pipe and clogging the blast media

 

I like the teflon paste. The tape can come off and damage air tools if its not applied correctly.

i have a dryer thing with the blue beads turn pink, then throw into oven to turn back to blue
that thing cost plenty by itself but works 'mostly' well
