I've done a mod or two
You've already heard my thoughts on it. I'll keep happily volunteering for harder and harder stuff and making changes to keep everything happy and workable. Until some catastrophic happens like another rollover over or massive part failure (frame or something of the like). I don't have any real interest in building a crawler, I like to go fast and camp and mixing the two has been enjoyable and lets me do the crawling obstacles so far as well. Which don't get me wrong are still fun, but I don't wanna go somewhere just to climb some rocks and then trailer home. I'm going bigger and better and the challenge of making that work on the vehicle I like is fun. But yeah it probably wouldn't be my rig for every trip if I had a family, but that's looking less and less likely with every passing day. So here I am building a third Tacoma, with even more comfort in mind than before. And dailying a 13mpg, 2.5ton family carrier. :p

It's not whether or not you could reach it stock, it's also the ease of reaching it. It's the ease that keeps the stockers out usually. The build is for convenience. I could take my Z just about anywhere with a winch but it would be agonizing.

Also I was just thinking about it, you might be able to reach the campsite because there are other roads but I think with the biggest SUV produced for America you'd miss a lot of the fun parts especially in non desert climates, you kinda bone yourself for the northwest. Like on the retour we just happened upon some switchbacks, they were tight for Dan and would have been impossible for any full-size let alone the longest one ever made. But I wouldn't have ever wanted to turn around and not do them, but in the same thought... I like our group and wouldn't ever want to make you go and find your own way down in your rolling village. I dunno I'm just rambling now, I just don't wanna build this truck to find out I no longer have people to wheel with.

The absolute BEST campsites are only accessible by Foot. Helicopter if you are an asshole and even some of them aren't accessible. How far you can go is limited to the road, trail you are using. So if you want the best campsites you have to get off your FA and get there. even horses won't take you to the best.

Chill, I'm saying it's something to consider. I'm not gonna stop you, fuck, a goddamn train full of lead cant stop you when you set your mind on something. I'm just priming that little niggling voice that reminds you that there's always something else you haven't thought of yet. It's only because you're my friend that I say anything at all. Just because it's one trail you weren't there for doesn't mean it won't be one (or lots, been on plenty of tight trails for even a taco) you are there for. In the planning stages is where I try to preempt my limitations early. Who knows you might find a solution to it now that I've mentioned it, without compromising. That's for you to think about, I'm just stating it's a concern.

Just bought another 2uz plastic intake off ebay. This one had pics of the mounting surface so I know they are good. Even have the o-ring gaskets in place still. Also bought the TB from the same seller/vehicle (2005 Sequoia) so they are a known match. And I ordered the 12 hole injectors from Dirty Deeds. Just need to gather up gaskets for everything now.

Dude we have these HUGE ass patches of cat tails that grow on Utah lake close to the shores but go for miles. And there are like paths or trails through them on the water. Like a big labyrinth. But this boat looks perfect for that. I had an inflatable boat that I put a battery and trolling motor transom mounted on it and it did alright... Caught some big catfish in that thing.
I want one of these in the video though, be a lot faster making my way through the cat tail or the reeds mazes:cool:
