Well when my roommate broke the door frame it was just the sheer weight and force that did it...old house and all. He's an average sized guy, 6' maybe 185lbs. It wasn't one of those bars that extends to meet the sides of the frame, it was one of those pull up bars that hangs of the top of the door frame and then braces up against the sides. Pulled the top of the door frame right off lol.

Granted this wasn't right away, he'd been using it for a year or so before it finally happened.

Anyone have photos of the Rago Bed Stiffeners on a 1st gen? On their site there are only photos of 2nd gen ones on the 1st gen product page.

That's a scary situation right there. I had the same style pullup bar; the issue I had was the braces on the sides of the bar that set on each end of the door frame have foam on them, and the foam was detonating. That was causing the braces to constantly rub on the door and the door frames paint was getting warm down to the wood as a result.

hoping this is a short enough use in my case the foam will last.

Interesting, I didn't know anyone made them for 1st gens. I was looking maybe a year ago and didn't find any, but I didn't look too hard. Just checked the usual well-known vendors.

I'd be interested in seeing if anyone has any experience with them, I don't 100% know if they're necessary in my case but when I have my RTT and bed fully loaded up, I do worry about the thin metal the bed is made out of getting stress cracks from all the weight and twisting around

yeah once this blows over and the gyms open back up I'll probably sell mine locally. I hate working out at home because I don't feel as motivated. The act of going to the gym keeps me more inclined to do more of a "complete" workout since it's a destination. Some people are way more disciplined and can do home gyms but I just can't lol.

In this case though it will be better than nothing for the time being

@greengaint97 installed them last June. Looks like you have to drill 10 holes through the bed to bolt them on and there's no backing plates, just washers that aren't that large. They may help, but how many 1st gen beds have cracked (unlike the 2nd gens, which is pretty much guaranteed with a RTT/top/camper and driving off road)...

Anyway, Rago is having 15% off RIGHT NOW which brings them down to under $105...

If they're who I'm thinking of, those guys go hard (go-fast type stuff) so I'm not surprised. I tend to avoid that kind of wheeling because I'm not at that level of DIY repairs yet and I certainly can't afford to have a shop make those kinds of repairs all the time lol.

True, but he also uses his truck recreationally way more often than most of us do...and on much longer trips.

Fair, my beds all sorts of out of shape though, not cracks, just bends.

same same. When I lived with the parents I had a full workout room with a rack and everything. That was really the only time I would have motivation to workout at home and it was a full setup.

Like u said it's just to make sure u doing something for now. P much to help us not have jello arms or legs when we get back. Who knows where things are going haha

This is the Pterinochilus murinus, commonly known as the Orange Baboon Tarantula, or better yet, the Orange Bitey Thingy

    https://youtu.be/_R99c6zmOXY

Most defensive tarantula you will ever come across, not to mention their venom is medically significant. You don't want to get bitten by this thing...

Local tarantula owner someone here found for me on Craigslist has one for sale and I inquired about it; waiting to hear back still.
