This kind of shit, where my own family can't get what they need, is gonna drive me up the wall and go ballistic on people.

Luckily most stores out here have been putting a 1 or 2 pack limit on most things now, esp TP and soap/cleaning supplies

I suppose so, definitely been reminded that more time together doesn't scale directly to more quality time when there's life stuff in the way

I think I've been driving her a little crazy being here full time this week

The guy at NAPA thanked me several times for being so calm while returning the CV and gave me a free hat lol

I think he's used to getting bitched out by customers

    Yeah.

Let's hope for everyone else's sake I find something.

    I hate getting angry

Just remember this, and I'm telling you as a friend cause I'd hate for you to feel at all insecure about your situation -

You live with room mates, and probably have been for awhile, so you're used to having people at home often. You're never alone and always have company, even if it isn't the best kind of company.

Her on the other hand, with the exception of her daughter, lives alone. She's used to her private space and having things go only the way she wants. Best you can do is try to keep it that way as much as possible to keep her comfortable in her own element, while she shares her private space with you.

I'm on the opposite end where I've always lived with someone, whether it was my SO, my ex wife (when we were together), or a room mate when I was in the Marine Corps.

Living alone these past 4 months has been an unfamiliar feeling for me but I'm slowly getting used to it.

Your girlfriend is slowly getting used to you being there, just remember that

17 to 19 so far. We'll see if/how that changes with the new timing belt, clean 12 hole injectors and the VVT intake. Starter gets here today sometime so I should have it running by tomorrow and be able to start driving it to work again.

I've been having good luck finding stuff* we need at places like CVS and Rite Aid, much smaller variety but they usually carry groceries too

    * Stuff excludes TP because people suck

Safeway by me finally had cases of water again so I grabbed one. I was almost out anyway. Didn't check on the TP since I have a 12 pack still and another open pack. It's just me so I don't go thru a lot.

That is some really good perspective and I appreciate it. I definitely haven't considered how much me being around full time would affect things for her

Going back to living alone definitely makes for an adjustment. Is there an area that was more difficult than you anticipated?

I told about the tire shop manager who was insistent they would do beadlocks? I went by last week to have them set the inner bead and he had no idea what an actual beadlock wheel was. I had to stop him from seating the outer bead and he kept saying man I don't think you're right
