Yeah dude that's a solid site too! Makes me happy to run into someone else who kinda sees the big picture regarding data and info too.
I don't want anyone to get me wrong, this is a very serious virus and I follow and encourage others to follow the steps for limiting its spread as well. Wash hands, lots of vitamin C and sunlight and zinc for optimal immune system function, etc.
I just like truth and honesty and dislike sensationalism.
All I have to say though about anything. Hope everyone is being smart about it and I hope those with possible existing issues that could be affected like @Area51Runner the absolute best and those folks definitely do what you can for your immune system, lots of sunlight and lots of fresh air

    Oof

But my PC is a build from 2015/16 so I know I'm long overdue.

I ran 3DMark and apparently I'm "Future Proof" (got the badge on Steam just now lol) but my CPU is my bottleneck.

For a rebuild I guess I'll need to look at an AMD board, Ryzen, and some ram.

    Running an overclocked 6770k still

I don’t have money for it nor do I really need it. I’ve gotten along fine with my 2012 MacBook Pro.

I refuse to get rid of that thing until I can’t fix it anymore. So far it’s been through three keyboards, a trackpad, a lower case, two hard drives, and a hard drive cable.

The keyboard is very fun to replace as it uses about 120 micro Phillips screws to hold it to the case.

    Mine is from 2014. It’s a Devil’s Canyon i7 4790k with a GTX 980.

I think the motherboard is dead, because it gives me no RAM post codes when testing with known good RAM. I hope it isn’t the CPU.

Honestly most CPUs from the last 8 years are more than upto the task of gaming below 4k at highest settings with any higher tier card of your choice. I'm still running my over locked 3770k and 780ti SC (also heavily over locked) and I can max out most shit still at my weird resolution of 2560x1080. Until it can anymore I don't see any reason to upgrade.
