Just did a SeaFoam treatment on the 4runner. The one that you spray thru the intake boot. Dunno how well they actually work but I know the intake manifold really needed a good cleaning. I couldn't do that before the install so hoping the SeaFoam stuff helps.

What's the best way to do this? What paste and what grit? I'm assuming you've done it, had good results and that's why you're doing the IS's.
I need to pick up some sand paper
Yeah if you don't mind explaining quickly or if it's a bit to have to type, maybe a link or something. Basically just need to know which grit and which paste and maybe a tip or trick if something sticks out in your mind. Thanks in advance dude:D

Start with 2000 grit wet sand with soapy water. Then 4000 grit wet sand. 6000 grit then polish.

Yeah pretty much that, I use paste above 4000. And then Meg's polish. Coat with some ceramic coating afterward

3M foam sanding pads cut into 2" rounds helps prevent damage to surrounding surfaces. 3M also has plastic polishing compound. Or you can buy 3M headlight restore kit.

I used Meguire's PlastX polish with a left over foam polishing pad on the 4runner headlights. I was really surprised at how well they cleaned up. Driver side done here for comparison.

To their credit they made it right after I sent pictures of the damaged box and torn ARB parts baggie.

It was a little frustrating to go back and forth for a few days over $15 in parts after dropping like $2500 with them though. I understand that they wanted to verify that the parts were actually lost

Smoke show from the 4runner just now. Gave it the 10 minutes or so to heat soak the SeaFoam in and then took it for a drive. Major smoke show under hard acceleration. Funny shit. Didn't last too long tho. Hope it cleaned some of the crap out of the intake.

@CS_AR next time I will be going with ZUK or doing my own. I showed my buddy who has been building crawlers for over 20 years the pattern from ECGS and he wasn't impressed. He told me I should have saved my money and done it myself for that pattern :D

I could see it with multiple treatments but I doubt that was ever done on this motor. I've done it to other vehicles before without issue as well. Shouldn't hurt wither cats or plugs. If anything, it would help clean the plugs if they were older. The cat will just burn the crap out once it gets hot enough.

Rotors were OOS but I'll go ahead and put the axle together cept for the brakes.

Took an intermission to fix the weed sprayers so the GF can resume doing the yard work she's been poking at
