Yeah IDK why most of you guys freak out; yeah those fangs are huge and they inject venom into their victims but they're badass to watch.

I could use the Spider Theory; throw multiple into the enclosure and you end up with 1 fat one.

One is fishing rod storage/transport the other is a tarp and poles for my cheapy DIY awning ;)

Have a waterport which I'm still waiting on a bracket to secure it to the back of the roof rack. Came with the mount for the tow hitch but don't like how it looks there. First time I used the thing was when we went to the park at the start of the shelter in place order. Figured why use sanitizer when we could just use soap and water... Worked perfectly plus the kid had fun 'watering the truck' before we left to head home.

Oh nice. I see a lot of fishing rod holders where I am so I was curious. The Waterport sounds like it could definitely come in handy.
(I'm going with a DIY awning this time too. The old ARB was super heavy.)

Its not perfect but it works.

I used the following for the setup:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DPLM5YU

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JH5DMZB

    https://www.harborfreight.com/multipurpose-tarp-clips-4-pc-63067.html

    https://www.harborfreight.com/5-ft-...ective-heavy-duty-silver-tarpaulin-30871.html

I went with a smaller tarp because of the shortbed even though the rack extends slightly over the cab.

No matter what you use, I'd suggest a third tarp pole and of course you'll need guide ropes to help secure it in place.

I have some stuff on order from Sailrite. Going to experiment with some awning track, sunbrella fabric and awning rope and see what I come up with.

They have a few different types of track, like this: https://www.sailrite.com/Awning-Track-Aluminum-48

I live in a heavy boating community so over the years I've tended to take ideas/inspo from what boatbuilders use to knock things up. No idea if it'll work the way I want but it's a good project.
