That's what earplugs are for. I always carry some in the truck.

That's true, should have a major direction though, follow that and you'll be okay. Earplugs are good too, but with my tinnitus I don't give a shit if the tent is flapping to hell, I could fall asleep next to a straight piped v8 doing burnouts anyway.

yeah I usually have them too and they help a lot. But our trip up to Laurel Lakes last year we were camped at about 10k ft and had 50mph winds most of the night, not only were they loud but would rock the truck when a strong gust hit it.

Not a very good night sleep that night lol

    *tree falls on JKO*

I do much prefer trees/mountain terrain for camping over the desert but a couple of the strongest windstorms I've been in have been on the mountains. Granted it's more likely to be windy in the desert though. Especially the high desert out here

Uhm, I've been working on cars for over 15 years now. This is the first time getting into lifting a vehicle though, its been about speed and performance back then.

I rent my aunts garage (my moms old house) to keep my Z06 and C4 in.

We get our fair share of wind storms but I’ve left my camper up for weeks and a time and she still standing each and every time ha

I was curious and looked it up, Utah is the 3rd highest state in the union ( :rasta: ) with an average elevation of ~6100ft

Working on anything sucks when you're at the Beck and call of the weather all the time and the mercy of whatever parking lot you call home. I won't ever go without a garage again.

Garage is a must have for the next place we get. I wasn't much for DIY until a few years ago and was thrilled that this place at least had a driveway when we got it in 2017.

Although it's a 100 year old driveway and my floor jack has put a half dozen holes in it.

I'll try that out on the landlord when he brings it up after we move out haha

Figured I'd just fill them in with toothpaste like you do with mounting holes in drywall before you vacate a rental

    That's for damn sure.

My buddies and I swapped out the automatic from my RX7 and put in a manual in that garage, not to mention a ton of smaller jobs such as headers on my transam, corvettes, or camaro's and other odds and ends.

Biggest job I did at my own house was the bigger turbo, cpe intercooler, and associated vacuum/coolant/oil lines on the Focus ST.

I had to park it on my lawn right outside my bedroom cause I had at the time either the supercharged Miata and Bullitt or Corvette and my girl's Mustang.

    When I move in a year, I'll definitely want a 2 car garage or maybe 3 @cruiserguy
