    You'd like the 100hp 3 phase monster that powers our large Blanchard grinder. It has its own 400a 480v service from a pole. It has no soft start so when it kicks on you can watch the lines shake up to the transformer on the pole.

    F22A is a weird motor, limited use in the US.

    The Model S draws about 1,500 Amps from the front and rear motors at full load at roughly ~410 volts.

    Stuff like that is cool to look at. Working on it can be downright dangerous due to arc flash. If youre stupid you'd be dead in an instant.

    That monster at my job is for a new (used) machine were putting in. Gonna be fun cause the old owners cut through all the conduit with garden shears or something and left us no useable info on how to install. Probably miles of wire were gonna have to trace out.

    @BartMaster1234
    @Blue92

    You know I've formulated a plan for the 4wd. I'm going to have someone do the body work and the paint.

    I'm going to paint the bumper and fender flares for practice and learning, and slowly build up my tools and wait for the opportune moment for a perfect compressor to come up. then THEN I will paint the 2wd myself.

    Its a lot of work and a lot of effort for stuff I just physically cant do yet.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
    Over the weekend I tried to buy some OEM ball joint boots. I went to my usual supplier in VA and placed an order. I got an email stating there were no parts in the US and that the order may take over two weeks to ship. No problem, just jump over to Dubai and place an order there. Strange how parts cost less from a far away place. Not a huge amount. $27.38 vs. $33.01. Must be something about the exchange rate. While i pay more in shipping, the parts prices are very low compared to ordering the same part in the US. I ordered boots from both suppliers just for kicks. Let's see which one arrives first.
