I blame Discount Tire because they were the last ones to touch em. Luckily I was able to stop at the worlds only empty discount tire and they offered me a free rebalance of all four tires which they did in record time (20mins flat) and a referral sheet so I can have the stud replaced for free when I get time. So kudos to them. And now all my driving vibes are gone, they balanced them perfect, ran it up to 95 and no shakes.

The bay bridge got closed years ago, traffic was stopped. Guy was selling bottled water for 2 bucks a pop. Made bank.

 

Some here think I am OCD with the torque wrench but whatever - I have tire work done, I don't trust any shop. I get home, loosen and then torque to 83, done. Guess I could be really bad and check em in the parking lot lol.

 

Was it the collapse of part of the Eastern Span of the Bay Bridge during the 1989 Loma Prieta quake?

 

Yeah, my parents were in that, it was devastating

 

Definitely seems like it was. I, of course, was not around to experience it but I saw how bad the damage was.

The Oakland Hills Fire of 1991 was also equally as bad. Closest wildfire to major civilization ever.

I can smell the wildfires burning hundreds of miles away from my house, I couldn't imagine one that was less than 20 miles away.

 

This is incredible footage of the Oakland Hills fire if anyone is interested. Just shows you how unprepared the populous was, and how devastating the fire was.

People are running away on the interstate, and abandoning their cars. It's crazy.

 

I have a family freind that lost their house because of that fire

 

It was bad. My mom worked at a hospital in downtown Oakland when it happened, and you couldn't even see the sun for days because of all the smoke.

I had a Ford dealer replace all my lugs and one rim because they over torqued them with and impact.

 

I'd be surprised if they could mess up a steel rim haha
