    If you have low compression it may not be a valve. The heads on the 2.4 and 2.7 tend to crack between cylinders 2 and 3. Did it over heat at all?

    Oregon is also $0.10/can or bottle...

    And yes, there are no cans/bottles on the side of the road and people dig through every trash can or recycle can to pick out the cans/bottles. It's not uncommon for people to drive around and pick residential garbage/recycle cans for bottles/cans. I catch people all the time at 0500 in the morning picking our cans as when I leave for work.
